This Privacy Policy explains how eldermorton.com (“the website”, “we”, “us”), the website of Elder Morton, handles information about visitors. You can contact us with the contact form on the homepage.
Information you give us
Contact form (homepage). The form asks for your name, an optional email address and your message. When you send it, the message is stored in the website’s database and a notification containing it is emailed to the inbox of the people who look after this website, so they can read and answer it.
Blog comments. The comment form asks for your comment, your name, your email address and, optionally, your website address. New comments are stored in the website’s database and wait for moderation; a notification is emailed to the moderators. If a comment is approved, your name, the comment and its date are shown publicly on the post. Your email address and website address are not published.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in a message or comment.
Security and abuse prevention
The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check provided by Cloudflare, to tell people from automated spam. Turnstile processes technical information about your browser and connection when the form loads and when you submit it. To limit repeated submissions, the website also keeps a short-lived one-way code derived from your IP address and the form type; it is not used to identify you.
Hosting and email
The website runs on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Workers, with a Cloudflare D1 database and queue for the forms). Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and protect the website. Form notifications are sent through Cloudflare Email Sending. The website keeps technical operation logs for troubleshooting; they do not include the contents of your messages or comments.
Purchases and links to other websites
The “Buy Now” buttons open the Truth Ministries store on Cartloom (truthministries.cartloom.com), and some books link to Amazon. Purchases are handled by those services, not by this website, and their own privacy policies apply. The same is true for any other external website linked from this site.

The website uses only the storage described here.

When you withdraw permission for analytics, the website stops sending analytics data and removes the Google Analytics cookies it can reach. Cookies held by other websites, such as Google, can be removed in your browser settings.
How long information is kept
Messages and comments are kept for as long as they are needed to respond, to moderate and publish comments, and to run the website. Approved comments stay published unless they are removed. You can ask us to delete a message or comment you sent.
